SALA DEL RECREO

Lugar donde las hermanas podían conversar, por dos horas al día; no sólo consistía en hablar entre ellas, sino que a la vez, trabajaban en bordados, hilados religiosos.

De las obras de arte se tiene, del autor Melchor Perez de Olguin:

·       El Nacimiento de Jesus y la Adoracion de los Pastores, siglo XVII.

·       Santa Teresa y San Pedro de Alcantara, siglo XVIII.

IT SALTS OF THE RECREATIÓN.-

Place where the sisters could converse for two hours a day she didn’t only consisto n speaking among them, but rather at the same time.

BIBLIOTECA

Aquí, se conserva una colección de Libros del siglo XVI al XVIII con temas religiosos; entre esta colección se tiene:

·       Misales escritos en latín.

·       Un escaño de colora azul añil siglo XVII.

Un bargueño caracterizado por sus cajas secretas siglo XVIII.

LIBRARY

Here, a collection of Books is conserved from the XVI century to the XVIII one with topics religious; among this collection one has:  

·       " Missal written in Latin.

·       " A bench of it colors blue indigo XVII century.  

A decorated cabinet characterized by their boxes secret XVIII century. 

ENFERMERÍA

ENFERMERIA

Destinada a la atención a las religiosas enfermas del convento. Actualmente se tiene una exposición de porcelana europea del siglo XVIII. Entre las obras de arte que mas se destacan:

• “Cristo de la paciencia” siglo XVIII de Pedro de Meza.

• “La Virgen de la Candelaria”, siglo XVIII, autor anónimo.

• “La Intercesión de la Virgen María”, siglo XVIII, autor anónimo.

INFIRMARY

Dedicated to the attention to the sick nuns of the convent. At the moment has an exhibition of European porcelain of the XVIII century. Among the works of art that but it highlights it is the:

• "Christ of the patience" XVIII century of Pedro de Meza.

• Virgen of the Candelaria, century XVIII, anonime author.

• Intercession of the Mary Virgen, century XVIII, anonime autor.

 

SALA DE LOS CRISTOS Y CORO ALTO

 LA SALA DE HOSTIAS

En este lugar, las hermanas, realizaban las hostias para las parroquias de la Diócesis de Potosí; aquí es donde conservan sus moldes e instrumentos del siglo XVII y XVIII que ellas utilizaban en su época.

Se puede ver también, una colección de Cristos Crucificados en madera de cedro y maguey, que data del siglo XVIII.

THE ROOM OF HOST

In this place, the sisters, made out the Host for the Church and the external world, where they conserve their molds and instruments of the XVII and XVIII century; they used in their time.

One can also see, a collection of Crucified Christ in cedar wood and maguey that it dates of the XVIII century.

 EL CORO ALTO

Lugar que utilizaban para cantos religiosos de las festividades importantes de la Iglesia Católica; se tiene una colección de instrumentos musicales, como ser: Un Salterio y Clavicordio; en obras de arte, se tiene cuadros del siglo XVIII de autores anónimos, como ser:

• La presentación de las Jovenes al Convento.

• El profeta Elias.

• San Angelo.

THE HIGH CHOIR

Place that usedd to religious songs of the importand festivities of the catoholic church.

It has a colection musical instruments such as:

Salterio and clavicord.

• The Presentation of the youngs to the convent century XVIII.

• The Elias profet, century XVIII

• Angelo Martir. Centurty XVIII.

IGLESIA Y CORO BAJO DEL MUSEO SANTA TERESA

Hermosísima imagen de la Virgen del Carmen en el centro del retablo del Templo.

LA IGLESIA SANTA TERESA

Considerada una de las obras arquitectónicas más hermosas, con un artesonado, un retablo y púlpito que muestra la exquisitez en el estilo barroco; en la misma se puede apreciar retablos y cuadros que corresponden al siglo XVII y XVIII; entre estas resalta: “La Creación”, de Autor Anónimo del siglo XVII.

THE CHURCH

Considered one of the most nice architectural works, with a coffered, an altarpiece and pulpit that it shows the delight in the Baroque style; in the same one you can appreciate altarpieces and pictures that correspond to the XVII and XVIII century; among these it stands out: "The Creation", of Anonymous Author of the XVII century.

EL CORO BAJO

Todas las hermanas que formaban la comunidad, participaban todos los días a la misa y la oración del oficio divino. Esta sala era utilizada también como el cementerio del convento. En este lugar se conserva el cuerpo incorrupto de la Fundadora del Convento, M. María Josefa de Jesús; se tiene esculturas y pinturas del siglo XVII y XVIII, como por ejemplo: “Santa Teresa de Ávila” de la Escuela de Sevilla; además contemplamos cinco cuadros que representan a las cinco religiosas que fundaron el mismo.

THE LOW CHOIR

All the sisters that she understood the congregation, came to listen every day the mass and the sentence of the divine occupation. This room was also used as the cementery of the convent, in the same way in this place the incorrupt body of the Founder of the Convent is conserved.

It, has sculptures and paintings of the XVII and XVIII century, as being: "Sacred Teresa of Ávila" of the Sevilla school and we also contemplate five pictures that represent the five nuns that founded the same one.
